| For
employees who directly affect hazardous material transportation safety.
This includes any individual who: -Loads, unloads or handles hazardous materials (HAZMATS); -Tests, reconditions or repairs HAZMAT containers; -Prepares HAZMAT for transportation (labels, shipping papers); -Operates a vehicle containing HAZMATS; -Is responsible for transportation safety of HAZMATS. This is a tri-ennial training requirement with an initial deadline of 10/1/93. SRSI provides general awareness and safety training. With employee job descriptions, the required task-specific training can be provided as well. Students leave the class able to ship the hazardous materials at YOUR facility safely and legally. |

This training stresses an overview of applicable hazardous waste regulations (classification, storage, labeling, shipping, disposal and record-keeping) specific to your facility operations. Due to the ever-changing nature of these regulations, we place an emphasis on the proper use of resource materials.
